WHY CHOOSE US

3 Reasons to Choose
Swiss Private Tour

Not a bus tour. Not a rental car.
Your own car. Your own guide.

01

Hotel pick-up.
Unlimited distance.

We pick you up directly from your hotel in Zurich, Bern, or Lucerne. There's no mileage limit — enjoy a full 8–9 hours exploring Switzerland. Available from just 1 guest.

02

Weather changes?
We change the route.

"The skies are clearer over there today" — your local driver knows exactly where to go. If Grindelwald is rainy, we head to Lucerne instead. No extra charge.

03

Your pace.
Your journey.

No minute-by-minute schedule. We send you a visual itinerary the day before and ask where you'd like to linger. "A journey without being rushed" — that's Swiss Private Journey.

COMMUNICATION & LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

More than a driver.
Your local companion.

From planning to the day itself,
we make sure every detail is taken care of.

01

Plan your trip by email — we handle the details

Tell us your interests, travel dates, and any special needs. We'll craft a personalised visual itinerary and send it to you before the trip — no guesswork, no surprises.

02

In-car translator for any language

Our vehicles are equipped with professional translation devices (Vasco E1 & V4) supporting dozens of languages in real time. Whether you speak French, Mandarin, or Korean — we've got you covered.

03

15 years of local knowledge, at your service

Turi has lived in Switzerland for over 15 years and driven through its mountains for nearly three decades. He knows which viewpoint is best at 10 a.m., which restaurant the locals love, and which pass to avoid after a rainstorm. This isn't something you'll find on Google Maps — it's the kind of insight that turns a good trip into an unforgettable one.

The translation device also works alongside your own smartphone translation apps.

Travelling with Children or Elderly Family?

We adjust the pace, the stops, and the route so everyone in your group can enjoy the day comfortably.

For Families with Children

  • Child seats are available on request — just let us know in advance.
  • We flexibly adjust stop durations, add park breaks, or shorten walks based on how your children are feeling.
  • Long drives are broken up with comfortable pacing so younger travellers don't get restless.
  • Complimentary snacks and drinks are available in the car throughout the day.

For Senior Travellers

  • Our team is experienced in assisting elderly guests — from getting in and out of the car to adjusting the walking pace.
  • We prioritise drop-off points close to entrances and choose routes that minimise walking distance.
  • Rather than walking everywhere, we combine scenic viewpoints that can be enjoyed with minimal effort.
  • Cable cars and mountain railways can be incorporated into the plan to reduce physical strain.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Our current vehicles are not wheelchair-accessible by default.
However, we can arrange a wheelchair-friendly vehicle on request. Please contact us in advance so we can provide a tailored quote.

Food Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Meals are not included in the tour price, but if you let us know in advance, we can help select restaurants that accommodate allergies, religious dietary needs, vegetarian, or vegan preferences.

Whether you're travelling with young children, elderly family members, or anyone with mobility concerns — please don't hesitate to reach out. We'll work with you to create a plan that's comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. Get in touch

These are some of the most common requests we receive.
If it's possible, we'll make it happen.

Stop for Photos Anytime

Local Restaurant Suggestions

We know the restaurants that locals love — from cheese fondue spots to lakeside terraces. Tell us your preferences and dietary needs, and we'll suggest the best options along the route.

Shopping & Souvenir Stops

Swiss chocolate, watches, cheese, army knives — we can add shopping stops to your route. We know where to find quality goods at fair prices, away from the tourist traps.

Cable Cars & Mountain Railways

Want to ride the Jungfraujoch railway or take a cable car to Schilthorn? We'll handle the logistics — drop you off, find parking, and pick you up when you're ready.

Special Occasions

Birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, honeymoons — let us know in advance and we can help arrange small surprises like a scenic champagne stop or a hidden viewpoint just for you.

Early Starts & Late Returns

Sunrise at a mountain lake? Staying out for golden hour? We're flexible with timing. Extended hours are available — just let us know when you book.

Have a different request? Get in touch — we'll do our best to accommodate it.

LONG STAY PRIVILEGE

Booking 4 Days or More?

As a thank-you for longer bookings, Turi hosts a farewell dinner on your final evening. A relaxed way to look back on the journey and your time in Switzerland — our treat.

Your Guide

Meet Turi & Helen — your local hosts in Switzerland.

Turi and Helen in the Swiss Alps
Turi & Helen
Turi & Helen Piotrowski

A European local who knows Switzerland like home

Born in Poland, 13 years in Italy, 15 years in Switzerland. Turi has lived across three European cultures — and that perspective shapes every tour. He doesn't show you tourist spots; he shows you Switzerland the way a local sees it.

Helen and Turi have travelled extensively in Asia — Japan, China, and Korea — and have close friendships across cultures. That cross-cultural sensitivity is why guests from all over the world feel at ease from the first minute.

Whether it's finding the perfect viewpoint at golden hour, recommending a restaurant the locals actually go to, or knowing which mountain pass to skip after a rainstorm — this is knowledge that comes from nearly three decades behind the wheel in the Alps.

Safety & Credentials

  • Professional driving licence since age 16
  • Trained under former WRC champion Erwin Pichler in the Italian mountain roads for 13 years
  • 14 years of driving experience in Switzerland
  • Multiple advanced driving courses (safety & adverse weather)
  • Fully insured with ALLIANZ TRAVEL SWITZERLAND — all passengers covered
  • Both Helen & Turi are trained in elderly care
Turi's favourite part of the day? When a guest spots something unexpected — a hidden waterfall, a perfect reflection in a lake — and asks to stop. That's when the real tour begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking.

Q. How do I book a tour?
Send us a message through the contact form with your preferred dates, group size, and any interests. We'll reply within 24 hours with a suggested itinerary and next steps.
Q. Are there any costs beyond the 700 CHF?
The 700 CHF covers your driver, vehicle, unlimited mileage, hotel pick-up, and in-car refreshments. You pay separately for: attraction entry fees, cable car / mountain railway tickets, meals, and accommodation (for multi-day tours). There are no hidden guide fees. Tours crossing into Italy, France, or Austria require a separate quote.
Q. Where can you pick me up?
We pick up from hotels in Zurich, Bern, and Lucerne at no extra charge. Pick-up from other Swiss cities or locations (e.g. Geneva, Basel, Interlaken) can be arranged — just let us know when you enquire.
Q. Can I book for just 1 person?
Yes. Tours run from 1 to 6 guests at the same flat rate of 700 CHF per day. Whether you're travelling solo or as a group of six, the price doesn't change.
Q. What's the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 2 weeks before your tour date. Within 2 weeks, a 20% cancellation fee applies. If the weather is bad on the day, we don't cancel — we reroute to wherever the skies are clearest.
Q. How do I pay?
We accept WISE (international bank transfer) or cash in CHF on the day. WISE is used by over 16 million people worldwide and typically costs less than a traditional bank transfer. Payment details and timing are confirmed when you book.
→ Learn more about WISE
Q. Is insurance included?
Yes. We carry ALLIANZ TRAVEL SWITZERLAND full comprehensive insurance — all passengers are covered. We also strongly recommend that you take out your own travel insurance for the trip.
Q. What if I don't speak German or French?
No problem at all. Turi speaks fluent English, and the vehicle is equipped with professional translation devices (Vasco E1 & V4) supporting dozens of languages in real time. All pre-tour planning is done by email in English.
Q. I get motion sick on mountain roads. Is that a concern?
Swiss roads do involve mountain passes with curves. Turi drives smoothly and safely, but we recommend bringing motion sickness medication if you're prone to it. We can also plan routes that avoid the most winding sections.
Q. Can you help with other parts of my Switzerland trip?
We're happy to give advice on hotels, train routes, and things to do on your non-tour days. The official MySwitzerland app is also excellent for planning — it covers attractions, transport, weather, and events across the country.
